It was my first time building a book nook - took me roughly 7 hours while listening to an audiobook in the background and several short breaks. Had to undo and re-twist the wiring a few times but eventually got the lights to work! It looks sooo good and I found it relaxing.* one note - instructions say it comes with complimentary glue but mine did not, had to buy my own.
I put this together as a gift for my mother in law who loves these things but doesn't care for fiddly crafty things. I, however, love fiddly crafty things. Putting it together was a joy, clear instructions, quality parts. It even held up to being packed in a suitcase and flown across country. If you like models or intricate projects, definitely give it a try.

This was fun to make. It was like doing a 3D puzzle. I chose to paint some of the furniture and add/rearrange some things to my taste. The only probably was forcing the wood pieces together can break them but I don’t think there’s any way around that, so just be careful.
