Owl Post Office

This was the hardest puzzle I ever did from this collection. I had to take it apart three times and redo it. The gears weren't working correctly. I followed the instructions step by step, watched YouTube and just for some reason just did not want to work correctly. I gave up. It was a wasted $85. They are replacing the gear motor which I didn't receive yet but I gave up on the puzzle instead of sending me replacements. They should have sent me a whole new puzzle

My Owl Post Office BookNook arrived yesterday & I can't wait to get started on it, just need to finish the one I'm working on. From my peek inside the box I can see that once again it is a quality product that will look amazing once I finish it. I feel that my hardest decision will be which BookNook to start next - the Owl Post Office or the Magic Treasure House.

I am a modeller for 30+ years building mostly technically high end models of all kinds. I also have build a few of these "doll house" inspired models, so I think I am reasonably experienced on the subject. This specific kit is very high quality and also very fun to build because of the drive mechanism in it. The whole thing fits very well together and has very few mistakes, but is certainly not for beginners. If you never build something like this and have little experience in model building in general, try something more simple first. If you do have experience, don't hesitate to buy this one. Highly recommended!!

I’ve built several of these little nooks and have liked them all. This one was easy to follow but a little complicated for all of the gears to line up. Please be aware that there is an instruction error on page 54 where you are instructed to use D4x4 and it should be D6x4 but it wasn’t a big deal because you can clearly see which part to use. The only reason I took of a star was because I tested the mechanisms several times before finishing and every thing worked great. When it was all put together the front wings did not move. Not sure how the gear slip out, but again does not affect the finished product.

When I first saw this wooden puzzle, I was really intrigued. I had never done one before and I am always looking for activities to do with my 12 year old daughter. I thought this might be interesting and fun. Unfortunately, 4 months later, I'm ashamed that I haven't finished it. The kit itself is really nice. The box is very presentable as a gift. Has hefty weight LOL. It also includes adhesive. You make your own tool from the kit. You really only need an emery board to sand off the little edges. Unfortunately for my ailing eyes, little is the operative word, the pieces are so small, I frequently need my young daughter to read the labeling. the pieces themselves are well made and cut and fit well with each other. But the whole thing was quite complicated and being a beginner, it was quite difficult. The box wasn't kidding when they say 14+ because my 12 year old just didn't have the patience for it. So I feel this gift is really something that needs the right person. Someone who has a lot of patience and a certain level of maturity as well as a bit of mechanical know how. For me, I think it will have to stay in the box a bit longer until my kid grows a bit more, although I'm sure one would feel a great sense of accomplishment when it is done.

Turned out good, after a couple of set backs.(my fault) I like the bigger ones better. The instruction book was very easy to follow, but you have to follow it very close.I found out it is better to put a little glue on the bigger pieces. I have no music because I broke one of the wires trying to unplug it.When you test your wiring do not plug them in all the way,because they are very hard to unplug.

I’m enjoying working on it but when I went to plug it in, I noticed that the lights aren’t working. I tried them several different outlets on the thing the two that are there and it wasn’t lighting up all the parts move. Just the lights don’t work so could you help me out? Is that the lights there are bad cause cause I don’t think it’s the motherboard.

To wind down and relax. Each of these tiny projects are a stress reliever. I have always loved miniature anything growing up. It's like an escape to envision yourself that size just hanging out inside.

Better than I expected!

Very high quality and great instructions. A bit difficult for me so I have put it aside for a little while to give my brain a rest. The electrical always gives me a hard time

I have built several of these nooks so I have a lot of experience. This one was easy to put together but takes a lot patience to line up the gears correctly. It’s important to match the pictures exactly. I tested everything a few times before putting the roof on and once I had it on the front wings no longer moved up and down so not surehow the gear shifted and it wasn’t worth the hassle of taking it apart. Other than that, it turned out good.

I just finished this and it was a joy to build. Mine also dismounted itself when I got to the roof but I rebuilt ensuring I followed the instructions precisely and it works beautifully. I'm 79 and not that good at applying pressure but these parts fit beautifully, albeit I applied a hammer occasionally! So chuffed that all the moving parts do exactly what they are supposed to!

Excellent puzzle. Well-built and directions that make sense and easy to follow and complete. Parts fit together nicely and the finished product is adorable!

Everything was going great! I was loving it. Then I got to the part where you put the wings and owl on top. Got that on and it has you turn it on, well mine fell apart. The top popped off and everything came undone.

Im editing my review. This company went above and beyond to fix it. Not only did they give me my money back they also sent me a different kit at no cost. They have to be the best company I've had the pleasure of ordering from. I reordered the one owl post office in hopes I can get it to work. Thankfully though if it doesn't I do know I will be able to return it. Its just so adorable I really do want to get it together. They sent me the magic station. It was an amazing build and went together beautifully. I absolutely love the mirror effects. I will definitely order from this company again.
