Alice im Wunderland

This Alice in Wonderland book nook is better than I thought it'd be. The images in the product made it look a little cheap, but it's a much better quality than I was expecting. Loved how easy it was to assemble, all the pieces connected well, and there's zero glue required. The double sided tape does hold the paper covers on well, and I didn't have any issues with the tape sticking where I didn't want it. The instructions were easy to follow, this kit would be excellent for a beginner book nook builder, and for those of us who are more advanced and just want something fun and easy. The way the lighting is done, really gives the dimension to look like an endless hole she's falling into.

Looks very nice and a neat addition to a bookshelf. I would've prefered a battery pack instead of a USB connector. Would make it a lot easier to turn on and off instead of trying to connect to a usb cable. In addition, the USB connector as not good, it would not stay on consistently and require shifting the usb connection around until the lights came on. This I think was the biggest drawback. That said, not a big deal, it still looks very nice without lights though you cant see whats below without the light being on.

Assembly was time consuming. This took me over 6 hours, but maybe I'm slow. The directions were pretty good and relatively easy to follow. The tape strips was not easy to deal with, I think some sort of glue would've made the assembly easier.

Overall, I liked the item. This would be fun for a family to put together.

I'm gonna go out on a whim here and say *confidently* that I am the most qualified person to give this review. But I'll put the little narcissistic part of myself to the side right now and I'll put my credentials at the end of the review.
Every other kind that I've seen has the wiring for the lights at the very end. I guess so that it is not as intimidating or something? but this one has them right up in the front. I don't know if that's better or not because, u know, you're talking to a pro here.
All in all it looks really cool it's really fun to do I took so long to do this review because I've been stalling on finishing it because I really love doing it so much but I guess all good things must come to an end. So would I recommend this one? Of course. in a heartbeat. I will say though for people that know these book Nooks there are an awful lot of books that you have to make. And I'm not necessarily fond of that. if you want my honest opinion I think that you would be very happy by getting this one but if you happen to want one that maybe is a little bit more aesthetically pleasing and a little bit more fun to do I love them, I can't get enough. I'm literally always doing one .

Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite Disney movies, so when I saw this,s I was so excited! I was very eager to get it put together as soon as it arrived. It was not hard to put together (I have done much more difficult ones!) It is a great project for a rainy day. I don't remember how long it took me to finish, but it wasn't an all-day project. So fun and so cute!

I got this as a thank-you gift for my neighbor (and new best friend), and it was such a hit! She absolutely loved it and kept thanking me over and over. It’s such a unique and thoughtful gift—part puzzle, part beautiful bookshelf decor—and it really feels special once it’s all put together.

Got it as a gift for my daughter who loves making craft items. It would also look great in a bookshelf or on a display shelf. If you have a library of books this would make a wonderful addition. My daughter loved this item. I will update with built photos and ease of build (although it would depend on the person) as soon as it's put together.

I was very excited to try this craft. The kit comes with all the stuff you need to assemble which is good. I find that the introduction booklet was very precise on showing how to properly a put the kit together. All the parts are clearly labeled and easy to assemble. Each pieces are well cut that it fits perfectly. This book nook kit is really beautiful once fully installed. I like that it lights up vis usb. It took me around 7 hours to complete this. I’m pretty happy with the final results. I think this can be a fun family bonding experience. The quality of this kit justifies the price. I’m looking forward getting another kit.

Super cool for someone that is into art and crafts and likes to read books. I’ve never seen anything like this before. It’s so intricate and beautiful and when you’re done it is awesome to put on the bookshelf between some books. An Alice in Wonderland book lover would go nuts for this.

I’ve put together several book nooks in the past, so I’m not a beginner, but not really an expert either. I don’t normally like the look of book nooks that have flat, printed people in them, but something about this one didn’t bother me. Maybe because Alice’s world already has an otherworldly feel, and this vintage art style was appealing. Whatever it was, I’m beyond happy I ordered this kit.

I could tell right away upon opening that this kit was higher quality than most. The wood sheets were thicker, the colors vibrant. I didn’t have any pieces break and everything slotted together easily and securely.

The box said it was a 5/5 on difficulty, but I would call it easier for a few reasons. The instructions were thorough with specific parts in color, so it was always easy to understand. The few times where it was ambiguous which way to put in a piece, the sticky-out bits were different sized, so they’d only fit one way in the correct slots. That was such a great attention to detail that you don’t find in other kits. There were several instances where you had to attach pieces with the included tape, and it was always outlined exactly where you had to place them, taking the guesswork out of it. There was one “open book,” which is a sticker that you accordion fold to make the pages. Every other kit I’ve done, it’s a huge headache. It’s impossible to fold it exactly even, and you can’t unfold to try again because it’s stuck to itself. With this kit, the sticker was PERFORATED so it would fold exactly perfectly! It was so easy and such a simple thing to include, it makes me angry that other kits make you struggle!

This kit doesn’t use any glue; instead it includes two sheets of pre-cut double sided tape. I took one look at those tiny strips and thought, “that paper backing is going to be so annoying to take off.” I was pleasantly surprised! The paper backing lifts off easily. Just another example of the care taken in the planning of this kit. Nothing was annoying or tedious; it was all enjoyable.

The only corner they cut was not including a USB-C cord to power the kit. But honestly, by now, I have so many extras around my house it was almost nice to not add another.

I will say, this took a long time, easily 8-10 hours. There are lots of pieces. But putting it together is half the fun, and it all went together so seamlessly I had a great time. The amount of enjoyment I got out of it and the quality of the build makes it absolutely worth the price.

The end product is attractive. I love the whimsical case that’s shaped like wooden tree. The mirror effect is fun too, with the never-ending rabbit hole only visible when the lights turn on. I will be ordering other kits from this company in the future. They’ve definitely earned my trust with this one.

This kit was so much fun to build and the completed product is wonderful (pun intended). It looked like it would be difficult at first - there's different thicknesses of wood sheets, paper, stickers, cardstock, mirrored pieces, and 3D pieces. Construction was actually very smooth! The directions are clear and should be followed in order. Most of the pieces fit together without the need of sanding, and no glue is needed . Instead they supply various double-sided tape pieces. I did choose to reinforce some parts with super glue based on previous kits, but the final product was very sturdy.
One note on construction - I kept thinking I had done something wrong when installing the piece with the White Rabbit, but it's supposed to look that way (see my second picture) until the lights turn on. Then the magic happens!
The overall look of the book nook is great! So much attention to detail. It's a definite tribute to Alice in Wonderland and an easy buy for a fan of the story. I also love that it's powered by a USB-C cord (you must supply your own). I'm in love with this kit, and I'd love to see more book nooks that are nods to actual stories.

I love puzzles and legos; this is like a puzzle and a Lego set put together! The details in the scene are incredible. The pieces aren't just 90° angles but floating and falling along with Alice. It will still take you a while, but is fairly easy to put together. The included lights allow you to see the nooks and crannies. The details are not just on the inside, but on the outside of the book nook as well, meaning no matter how you display it there is something interesting and beautiful to look at. The pieces are made from wood and I rarely had any of them bust or break while I was putting it together. The instructions were very clear and the pieces were labeled very well so I was never confused about what I was supposed to be doing. Even the electrical wiring you put together on your own is still doable for someone without any prrevious knowledge of electrical work. It's great for yourself or as a gift for your literature lover friends.

My wife really enjoys jigsaw puzzles, so I thought I'd try something 3 dimensional in this kit, and she LOVES it! At first she was a little intimidated, but the instructions are clear, and assembly and finishing are pretty intuitive. So far, she's spent a couple evenings working on it, and I think she's maybe 2/3 of the way finished.

She's already talking about other Book Nooks to add to her collection.

The addition of the LED's make it even more enjoyable.

I have done several kits like this, including a couple by this company. Ever model I've done from them has been enjoyable to build. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. Parts are fairly sturdy. The only difficulty was getting the body parts to attach to the skirt. They might need to be sanded shorter as they were not going in all the way. I broke one trying to remove it to do so, but was able to easily fix with a bit of glue. Over all, a quick build. It could easily be done in a weekend. The only negative is there is no dust protection on the front due to the design. Otherwise, very cute and a fun addition to my collection of models.

I LOVE this brand for DIY book nook kits. It really does have EVERYTHING that you will need to complete the project. I was a little nervous when it said "no glue" on the box. Other kits that I have done have needed glue or batteries. It does NOT need glue or batteries. All the pieces perfectly like a puzzle. There is extra double-sided glue dots and strips.

Definitely, read the instructions and take the suggestions to heart - like sand the jagged edges and make sure you follow the direction of the arrows. It even included any extra pieces for those of us that are little heavy handed when we snap pieces off the template.

I like that this kit is powered with a USB-C. The tiny attention to details. The stickers are forgiving and allow for you to adjust them and still stay as intended. I think it would be a great gift or project.

I'm so excited to start this. I've wanted one for about 2 years. The instructions are very much step by step and 30 pages so this isn't something you'll probably do in an afternoon, which is fine for me. I was looking for something to do while recovering from surgery so I'm good with that. I'll update once I put it together.

A really fun kit, at first I thought it was not so good and did just to have something to do. As I put it together I realized it was complex and thoughtful in it's construction. It turned out really good and looks great. It's clever how the floating table and chair are done and the falling Alice. Great kit, can't recommend it more highly.
